How to Relieve Stress with the Law of Attraction


What is the Secret and How Can it Keep us Young?

People who feel that they have little or no control over their life and that they are at the mercy of the elements will age faster than people who feel empowered and in control.

Feeling out of control in money, love, health, or any other area of life can be very stressful…and nothing will cause more grey hairs than stress.

On the other hand, when people feel in charge of their life and of their futures, that they are the masters of their destiny, then they can relax and enjoy themselves. They know that everything will work out fine.

What is the Secret?

Just so everyone is on the same page here, the law of attraction says that you attract into your life whatever you think about and feel. Therefore, if one is constantly thinking about the lack of funds in the bank and how they are never going to have enough money, then chances are they won’t attract more money into their life.

The Law of Attraction is perhaps the hottest topic in the field of self development and spirituality. It has hit the world like wild fire in the last few years with the movie The Secret and a huge range of books and CDs that answer the question, what is the secret? Maybe I just attract those ideas, but everywhere I go I see or hear something about this ancient law of the universe. People are tired of being confined by their conditioning about who they are and what they deserve.

To truly feel that you are in control of your life and trust that what you need and desire will come to you through faith is one of the most transforming and powerful beliefs you can have. I am positive that in my own life, this belief (which I consistently work on to continually cultivate) has taken years of stress away.

One problem I do have with some of the information out there about the Law of Attraction is that it puts too much information on self development and not enough discussion about action. You can sit around meditating on your future achievements, repeat affirmations about what is going to happen in your life, and balance your chakras until they are like balls of vibrant light. However, if you don’t take action, chances are you won’t get what you want (I know this because I have tried).

On the other hand, taking action without having strong beliefs and trust as your foundation is often fruitless. (I know this because I have tried.) It can feel like running around like a headless chicken.

So, from my experience, the key to making the Law of Attraction work is to think positive thoughts and believe in your dreams and the Universe (or God, higher self, whatever you choose to call that) completely while taking determined action. When you think about it, this is how a healthy child would make things happen. Dream up an idea, believe it will happen no matter how crazy it might seem, talk about it as if it will happen, and then get on with it without too much analysis …we can learn so much from the young.
