Long Living, Flu Fighting Super Foods: Bee Pollen

I love bee pollen. I randomly bought some a few years ago, and have been taking it every now and again ever since. I never really studied the benefits, I just knew it was one of the most powerful super foods and a natural antioxidant supplement.

Recently I have been at my sister’s house and her whole family, along with the rest of the USA is sick. Colds and flu are actually epidemic at the moment….it is even on the news. So I seriously upped my dose of bee pollen, and although I can’t prove it, I put continued my wellbeing down to this.

So I started doing some research on my new favorite elixir, and was excited by what I learned.

Live Past 125 with one of the Most Researched Super Foods

High up in the Caucasus mountains of the former soviet union live villagers that are some of the longest living people in the world. Their life isn’t easy by our modern standards. They live in cold conditions and do hard physical work daily well into old age. They don’t have the modern technologies and benefits that we are acusomted to.

Dr. Nicolai Vasilievich Tsitsin, the USSR’s chief biologist (and botanist) and an acknowledged expert on geriatrics, spent years traveling through the villages studying the secrets of these people that seem to defy age (naturally of course…as modern medication, surgery and botox aren’t on offer.

Dr. Tsitsin was amazed to find more than 200 individuals over 125 years of age, all still working every day and participating actively in village life. Dr. Tsitsin was incredibly puzzled. He knew that there must be a reason for these hard working, challenged people’s incredible longetivity. After a lot of investigation and questioning, he stumbled upon the one thing that seemed to set these people apart.

These people were bee keepers. They were quite a happy and fulfilled population, but were very poor. They bartered among themselves to exchange homegrown or handmade products for services since there was little money or profit.

With few recourses available to them, they regularly harvested-and either sold or bartered away the pure, clear honey from the combs of their beehives. What they kept for themselves and ate regularly was the thick residue that accumulated on the bottoms of their hives.

Dr. Tsitsin realized that this sweet food was the magic potion that was keeping these people alive for so long. This thick residue was rich with golden granules of bee pollen.

After years of study, Dr. Tsitsin concluded his report by saying, “Taken regularly and in sufficient amounts, bee pollen will prolong the life span of man for many years.

According to G. Liebold, a holistic physician and psychologist of Karlsruhe, Germany, bee pollen is part of a powerful brain fitness program. “Bee pollen causes an increase in physical and mental abilities, especially of concentration and memory ability, activates sluggish metabolic functions, and strengthens the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. This natural nutriment from the bees removes the causes of cardiovascular symptoms, such as arteriosclerosis, cerebral insufficiency, and other sequelae. It can lower blood pressure naturally.

“It prevents nutrient deficiency during old age, gravidity [pregnancy], and the lactation [nursing] period. Bee pollen accelerates convalescence after serious illness and/or an operation, increases the body’s physical defensive powers of the immune system stimulates mental and psychological resistance to stress, and creates a harmonizing of vegetative and hormonal disorders.”

Not to mention, it is a fantastic anti aging skin care product and will keep you healthy and well throughout the cold season! It is a tasty addition to your favorite healthy smoothie recipes with other super foods as a natural antioxidant supplement.
