Healthy Smoothie Recipes
My sister loves food…and not always the healthy kind. I have been doing my best to inspire her to eat healthier so that she can feel more vibrant and stop going through the cycles of eating rubbish and then dieting.
So every morning my sister and I are drinking this smoothie:
2 tablespoons each of linseeds and hempseeds that have been soaked overnight. This releases their goodness and makes them easier to absorb. (Packed with essential fats that are essential for our physical and mental health)
Frozen Acai berries (High in antioxidants and other powerful nutrients…all of the experts have been raving about this as one of the best super foods)
25 Fresh Blueberries (the age defying fruit)
4 Frozen strawberries (loaded with zinc and other nutrients to make sure you feel great)
1 banana (packed with potassium and one of the best ingredients to thicken and bulk out your healthy smoothie recipes)
1 small packet of Stevia (the sweetener that is good for you and on your list of alkaline foods)
A pinch of bee pollen (one of the best longevity foods, it will also keep you from getting colds and flu)
Enough water to make it a nice consistency (essential to our lives)
I blend everything up with a hand held blender and serve it up. I put raw chocolate nibs in mine to add natural antioxidants and crunchiness. My sister isn’t sold on them yet because they are a little bitter. I am working on it.
It is absolutely delicious, and keeps my sister satisfied so that she doesn’t start craving and picking at the carbohydrates and other addictive foods.
