Candida Causes Disease
In my practice as a holistic therapist, one of the biggest health problems that I see in the world today is Candida albicans.
Candida overgrowth happens when the good bacteria in our body gets wiped out, and the naturally occurring fungus proliferates…not good.
This destruction of the good bacteria may be caused by antibiotics, the birth control pill, or a diet high in sugary, refined foods.
Candida is often found in the intestinal tract, mouth, throat and genitals; however it can burrow holes in the intestinal tract, enter the blood stream and then make its way into any organ of the body. It can let off over 70 different toxins into the body.
Many diseases and health complaints are a result of this fungal overgrowth, or at least made worse by it. Some common problems associated with it include:
· abdominal gas
· headaches
· migraines
· excessive fatigue
· cravings for alcohol
· anxiety
· vaginitis
· rectal itching
· cravings for sweets
· inability to think clearly or concentrate
· hyperactivity
· mood swings
· diarrhoea
· constipation
· hyperactivity
· itching
· acne
· eczema
· depression
· sinus inflammation
· pre-menstrual syndrome
· dizziness
· poor memory
· persistent cough
· earaches
· low sex drive
· muscle weakness
· irritability
· learning difficulties
· sensitivity to fragrances and/or other chemicals
· cognitive impairment
· thrush
· athlete’s foot
· sore throat
· indigestion
· acid reflux
Most people that feel lousy and less than vibrant have some level of fungal overgrowth.
Unfortunately, many doctors still don’t recognise candida as more than thrush, although they are becoming increasingly aware.
Further, treating candida is time consuming and is very individual. The usual candida diet is often over unnecessarily restrictive, and many people feel ill if the appropriate treatment is not taken.
You can go to www.sherylwalters.com to read about how I effectively treat candida with dietary changes, herbs, and nutrients.
Ways that you can lower your risk of suffering with candida include:

Good day!
Could I please have your view point on HRT tablets e.g. Trisequence. I am 58 years of age and did not have a historectomy yet. What other tablets can I use (e.g. Levifem) which is the best for my situation? I probably need the estrogen but not the menstrations?
