4 Easy Ways to Increase the Nutrition of Your Breakfast

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

Do you eat cereal for breakfast? Many people find that eating cereal for breakfast is a quick and easy way to start the day. Just pour your favourite cereal in a bowl followed by your favourite milk and you’re off. But what if it were possible to make your cereal just that little bit more nutritious without adding any extra time? What if you could enhance the flavour of your breakfast food while at the same time preventing disease and boosting your energy levels? This can be achieved simply by adding super foods to your cereal.

Super foods are outrageously high in nutrients so they protect you from premature aging and disease. Many cereals offer nothing of value to the body. This is part of the reason why the standard Western diet is leading to skyrocketing rates of cancer, heart disease, diabetes and other illnesses. By adding a few super foods to your breakfast, you are transforming your breakfast into a nutritious power house that will give you more energy and greater mental clarity for your day while protecting you from future disease.

Here are 5 Super Foods for Transforming your Breakfast

1. Add some pumpkin seeds. Pumpkin seeds are especially high in zinc, which is a common deficiency that causes a whole variety of health complaints including acne, lowered immune system, and thinning hair. Pumpkin seeds are also a rich source of vitamins B, E C, D, and K, all of which are needed for optimum health. One way to know if you are zinc deficient is if you have white spots on your nails.

2. Goji Berries have recently hit the super food scene after research confirmed that they are one of the most nutritionally dense foods on earth. They also contain an amazing array of vitamins, minerals, proteins, essential fats, and antioxidants that protect the eyes and prevent aging. Goji berries are considered an amazing aphrodisiac, hence the ancient Chinese proverb that states “He who travels one thousand kilometres from home should not eat Goji!”

3. Bee pollen has been shown to be the reason that so many people in the Caucasus Mountains in the former Soviet Union are some of the longest living people in the world. It is perfectly common there to live healthily and productively until 125. These people are bee keepers and eat the bee pollen at the bottom of their hives. Bee pollen is actually considered a complete food, meaning that it provides all of the nutrients needed to live with vibrant health.

4. Wheatgrass is the young grass of the common wheat plant. It is packed with chlorophyll which increases the blood’s ability to carry oxygen, offering a number of health benefits including more stable blood sugar levels and detoxification of traffic pollutants, cigarette smoke and heavy metals. The brain is able to function more efficiently in a highly oxygenated environment. Wheatgrass improves digestion and inhibits the growth of harmful invaders such as bacteria and fungi in the body.

Create a mixture of all of these super foods in a separate container and add a spoonful of it to your breakfast every morning. This will give your breakfast a massive kick of vital nutrients and ensure that you start the day on the right foot without any added hassle.

And if you really want to creat a super food power breakfast, you could add some nutrient rich raw sheep’s milk.

And imagine the Christmas cheer with red gojis, green chlorella and gold bee pollen!

Barley Grass: Nature’s Most Perfect Super Food

Sunday, December 14th, 2008

“The leaves of Green Barley provide the nearest thing to the perfect food this planet offers” stated Japanese researcher Hagiwara after ten years of research. This morning I made barley grass fruit and nut chocolate cake…delicious. Green Barley is a super food that is packed with Healing and Nourishing properties:

• Provides every single vitamin, mineral and protein that is essential for a healthy human diet.
• Is a powerful anti-oxidant that combats the effects of environmental stresses and reduces the signs of ageing.
• Brings the PH into balance for harmonious wellbeing.
• Improves digestion and promotes absorption of vital nutrients.
• Lowers Blood pressure, reduces cholesterol, and keeps the blood flowing to prevent heart attacks and strokes.
• Eases inflammation in people who suffer from arthritis and other inflammatory diseases.

Protection against the Environment

A rich source of chlorophyll and live enzymes, Barley Grass is known as a powerful antioxidant with tremendous anti-ageing properties. It contains an abundance of phytochemicals that safeguard against radiation, pollution, and other environmental stresses to sustain the body’s youthful health.

Prevents Heart Attacks and Strokes

Evidence suggests that barley grass juice may protect against heart disease and strokes. It keeps the blood flowing and prevents blood clots that can cause these often fatal problems. It also has a beneficial effect on cholesterol and blood pressure, both of which are associated with heart disease and strokes.

Healthy Digestion, Healthy Body

Barley Grass juice promotes healthy bowel function. Studies have shown it to be effective against irritable bowel and ulcerative colitis. It boosts the intestinal flora that helps us digest our food, whilst preventing the growth of harmful bacteria and yeast that can impede true health.

This healing juice is a powerful liver, kidney, and digestive tract detoxifier and cleanser. It improves the digestion and the absorption of nutrients so that we feel energetic and well.

PH Balancing for Harmonious Health

Green Barley Grass is highly alkalizing, which helps keep the acidity and alkalinity in our body in check. Modern living and eating is often acidifying, especially when refined and processed foods are consumed. When the acidity-alkalinity equilibrium is disturbed, it leads to mineral imbalances, a weakening of the immune system, and an increase in inflammation. The result can be illness, pain, disease and lowered quality of life.

When the PH is in harmony, our cells can adequately function and we experience wellbeing. Green Barley Grass Juice has long been known as one of the most alkalizing, balancing foods grown on the earth.

Organic Green Barley juice powder contains a multitude of health giving vitamins, minerals and proteins that are essential for vibrant wellbeing. It is able to deeply absorb nutrients from the soil. It contains:

• A natural balance of beta-carotene, proteins, minerals, amino acids, active enzymes and vitamins E, B1, B2, B3 and B6, and B12 among others.

• seven times more Vitamin C than oranges

• five times more iron than spinach

• Ten times more calcium than milk, and an amazing array of other nutrients essential for vibrant health.

• It is also highly effective at dispersing the vitamins and minerals into the blood stream leaving the body energized
